DAY 2 – 9 am to 1 pm plus project work

  • Practical exercise based on the task
  • Innovation and entrepreneural orientation
  • Business Model Canvas – Introduction and case discussion

DAY 3 – 9 am to 1 pm plus project work

  • Business Model Canvas – Customer segment(s)
  • Business Model Canvas – Return streams
  • Business Model Canvas – Key partners

DAY 4 - 9 am to 1 pm

  • Prepare personal Business Model Canvas for opportunity
  • Present information for facilator and peer review

The lecturers:

Prof. Dr. Chris Friedrich has successfully founded two companies. He later became a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen and at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, where he headed the Department of Corporate Development. He has worked in various European and African countries as well as in Asia and South America. His research focus is on success factors of entrepreneurs. More...

Wesley Clarence (Ph.D.) is a business management lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and at the College of Economics and Management Sciences, Unisa in South Africa. His previous teaching experience includes the University of Cape Town and the School of Business and Finance at the University of the Western Cape. His main teaching and research interests include all areas of entrepreneurship and strategy within the context of family business. His recent research spans corporate entrepreneurship and transgenerational within the South African wine industry. To further understand this he has developed a wine brand to further understand the working of the industry. Prior to being a lecturer, he launched three successful businesses in travel and tourism, and in FMCG in both the formal and informal sectors. More...
